Georgia Real Estate License Renewal Requirements

The Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) requires licensed real estate agents and brokers to renew their license every four years.

If you are renewing your salesperson license for the first time, GREC requires you to complete 36 hours of Continuing Education (CE) courses, which will include 9 hours from the 25 hour Post-License course required during the first year of licensure and 27 hours from additional CE courses. Course Details

Course Format: Our courses are completely online and self-paced. Our courses are a combination of text and interactive elements which may consist of true/false matching, vocabulary matching, scenario-based learning and more. This format makes our courses both interesting and engaging.

Reporting: We report course completions to GREC automatically on your behalf, typically within 1-2 business days.

Course Expiration: Expiration dates vary based on each course but are generally one year after your order date.

Final Exams: GREC does not require license holders to pass a final exam to earn continuing education credit. Our courses are designed to pass with a 0% minimum score.

Certificates: You will receive an electronic certificate of course completion immediately upon successful course completion.

Repeat Courses: GREC does not allow license holders to repeat the same course within the two year period preceding their license renewal date.
