New York Real Estate License Renewal Requirements
The New York State Department of State (NYSDOS) requires licensed real estate agents and brokers to renew their license every two years.
If you are renewing your salesperson or broker license, the NYSDOS requires you to complete 22.5 hours of Continuing Education (CE) courses. You are on the right page! We offer two types of CE course packages to pick from, depending on whether you this is your first license renewal or a subsequent license renewal.
Course Details
Course Format: Our courses are completely online and self-paced. Our courses are a combination of text and interactive elements which consist of true/false matching, vocabulary matching, scenario-based learning and more. This format makes our courses both interesting and engaging.
Reporting: New York does not require education providers to report course completions. License holders should keep copies of their course certificates in the event they are audited.
Course Expiration: Expiration dates vary based on each course but are generally one year after your order date.
Final Exams: The minimum passing score for final exams is 75% and there is no limit to the number of exam attempts.
Certificates: You will receive an electronic certificate of course completion immediately upon successful course completion.
