License Classroom's Georgia Real Estate Post License Course

Congratulations! You passed the Georgia real estate exam, got your salesperson license, and started practicing real estate. But your journey doesn’t stop there. The Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) requires additional education to help ensure you continue to provide high-quality real estate services to clients. Here’s everything you need to know about completing your post-licensing requirements!

Who Is Required to Complete the Georgia Post-License Course?

New licensees must complete a Georgia real estate post-license course in their first year to maintain an active license. If you don’t complete the 25 hours of post-licensing with an approved education provider within your first year, your license will become inactive. You cannot practice real estate in Georgia with an inactive license, and you must complete the post-license course before becoming active again.

What Is the Georgia Post-License Course?

GREC wants to ensure all new licensees are properly set up for a successful career in real estate. The 25-hour post-license course enhances and expands upon the education you received in your pre-licensing courses. License Classroom’s courses are designed to be thoughtfully engaging and updated with the most recent and relevant real estate information. They’re available 100% online, so you can take them anywhere and at your own pace to fit your schedule. We will automatically report your course completion certificate to GREC on your behalf.

Keep in mind that 9 hours of your post-license course will count toward your 36-hour CE requirement when you renew your Georgia real estate license for the first time. This means you will only need to complete 27 hours of CE when it comes time to renew your license after your first four years of licensure.

What Will I Learn?

Our Georgia Real Estate Post-License Course covers key concepts, including the listing process, disclosures, representation, client advocacy, contracts, negotiation, financing, appraisals, and comparative market analyses. This in-depth exploration goes beyond basic understanding, providing practical scenarios and insights to relate to your daily activities. Your real-world experience allows you to grasp the concepts deeper, making them more impactful and immediately applicable to your business.

Is There An Exam?

GREC requires you to pass a post-license course final exam proctored by an approved third party. There are 50 multiple-choice questions and no time limit to finish them. You’ll need to achieve a score of at least 70% to pass and are allowed to retake it as many times as you need to pass.

Take your course exam from the comfort of your own home! License Classroom partners with PSI to offer convenient online exam proctoring for just $25 per attempt. You’ll need to sign an affidavit at the end to confirm your identity.
