This course examines critical legal and regulatory issues Texas real estate license holders face in their daily practice during the 2026–2027 renewal period. Topics include competency, agency relationships, advertising compliance, and the proper use of unlicensed assistants, with a strong emphasis on avoiding common violations of TREC rules. The course also explores emerging issues such as the use of artificial intelligence in real estate, including ethical considerations, advertising risks, fair housing implications, and liability concerns. Additional sections focus on representing military veterans and service members, including VA and Texas Veterans Land Board loan programs. Real-world complaint scenarios and enforcement case studies are used throughout the course to help license holders reduce risk and remain compliant.
